iHEARTMEDIA/CHICAGO brought together CHICAGO’s business and community leaders for its annual COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP LUNCHEON. Among those attending include Alderman PAT DOWELL, POLICE DEPT. Superintendent EDDIE JOHNSON, CHICAGO URBAN LEAGUE Interim Pres./CEO BARBARA LUMPKIN and Rev. MICHAEL PFLEGER.
“The CHICAGO URBAN LEAGUE was not only proud to host this luncheon but to be an engaged partner with iHEARTMEDIA/CHICAGO as well,” BARBARA LUMPKIN said. “Their team continues to raise awareness of the LEAGUE’s mission through PSAs, media interviews, participation in our Back-to-School Festival and by serving as a media partner for both our SUMMIT and GOLDEN FELLOWSHIP DINNER. This invaluable collaboration continues to amplify our community outreach tremendously.”
“We were honored to salute 24 community partners with custom-made iHEARTMEDIA awards and announce our continued support of their grassroots efforts in 2019 during the luncheon,” iHEARTMEDIA/CHICAGO Region Pres. MATT SCARANO said. “Our community partners are the heartbeat of our local radio stations and the opportunity to award and showcase their great work is the essence of what we do as broadcasters.”
The CHICAGO stations' annual SISTA STRUT, a 3K breast cancer charity walk to benefit the SISTERS NETWORK CHICAGO Chapter enabled them to present a check for $10,000 to SISTERS NETWORK CHICAGO Chapter. iHEARTMEDIA/CHICAGO has also donated significant on-air and digital airtime to a bevy of local groups.
