Alabama's "Cousin Josh" Dies

Condolences to family and friends of longtime WKAC-A/ATHENS, AL midday host GEORGE ROSE, who died SATURDAY at 78 after a long battle with leukemia. ROSE played himself and character "COUSIN JOSH" on local radio since 1948, first on WJMW-A and then, for more than 30 years, on WKAC's "THE COUSIN JOSH JAMBOREE." He did his last show for the station on NOVEMBER 17.
