TOM HATTEN, the longtime LOS ANGELES television and radio personality, has passed away at 92, according to TRIBUNE CW affiliate KTLA/LOS ANGELES.
HATTEN was well-known to generations of LOS ANGELES residents for his long stint at KTLA (1952-92) as an announcer and host of the "FAMILY FILM FESTIVAL" and POPEYE cartoons, and for his reports as Entertainment Editor at then-CBS RADIO News KNX-A in 1978-2007. He also acted in several TV shows, including "GOMER PYLE, U.S.M.C.," "HOGAN'S HEROES," "THE BEVERLY HILLBILLIES," "GET SMART," "HAWAII FIVE-O," "NEWHART," "WINGS," "LOIS AND CLARK: THE NEW ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN," and "THE NICK CANNON SHOW," and movies including "SPIES LIKE US" and "EASY COME, EASY GO."
