The ATLANTA BUSINESS JOURNAL is reporting that COX MEDIA GROUP, which recently sold its TV stations and DAYTON, OH radio stations and newspapers to a newly-formed company, TERRIER MEDIA, headed by APOLLO GLOBAL MANAGEMENT with COX as a minority stakeholder, has informed employees that it is now "exploring options" for deals to sell its remaining radio stations. The JOURNAL adds that any deal would not include the company's flagship newspaper, the ATLANTA JOURNAL-CONSTITUTION.
Besides the DAYTON stations being sold to APOLLO, COX owns radio clusters in ATLANTA, MIAMI, ORLANDO, JACKSONVILLE, TAMPA, HOUSTON, SAN ANTONIO, LONG ISLAND, TULSA, and ATHENS, GA.
