The ARCHIVE OF CONTEMPORARY MUSIC (ARC), a not-for-profit archive, music library and research center, is launching its first-ever fundraising campaign. The goal is to raise $100,000 with the help of a matching dollar-for-dollar grant of $50,000 from longtime ARC supporter, The JAHARIS FAMILY FOUNDATION, to pay for rising rent, handling the ever-increasing volume of donated materials, more staffing and space, and a desire to grant greater access to the general public.
"It's so important to preserve our music and have a place where it's accessible, to go back and listen to old recordings and experience firsthand what life and the art form was like at that time," NILE RODGERS said. "The ARChive is the only place that is saving our product."
