Salem Sells WSPZ/Washington To Immaculate Heart Media

SALEM COMMUNICATIONS HOLDING CORPORATION is selling WSPZ-A/WASHINGTON to IMMACULATE HEART MEDIA, INC. for $750,000.  The station currently simulcasts SALEM's Religion WAVA/ARLINGTON-WASHINGTON; it is the 1260 AM facility formerly home to the News-Talk format and WWRC-A calls now at 570 AM as AM 570 THE ANSWER, and was for many years WWDC-A.  IHR will bring its RELEVANT RADIO Catholic programming to WSPZ when it takes over the station.

In other filings with the FCC, EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION is transferring K212FA/TEMPLE CITY, CA to COMMON COMMUNICATIONS SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA (RAZORCAKE/GORSKY PRESS, INC.) in a settlement of a dispute over the transferee's application to increase power on its low power FM KFFL-LP/PASADENA, CA; the transferee is turning in its permit for the LPFM in exchange for the translator license.  The primary station is listed as WHITE FOX HORSE RESCUE Religion KTCN/ACTON, CA.

RFPJY, LLC  has applied for an STA to operate WGIV-A/PINEVILLE, NC from a temporary site with a longwire at 25 watts while seeking a new transmitter site.

And COCHISE BROADCASTING LLC has requested a Silent STA for KXZK/VAIL, AZ and DESERT WEST AIR RANCHERS CORPORATION has filed for a Silent STA for co-located KRDX/VAIL, AZ, which have both gone intermittently dark due to unknown technical issues.
