WOKQ/Portsmouth To Debut New ‘Chio and Kira In The Morning' Show

Radio veteran CHIO ACOSTA joins TOWNSQUARE MEDIA Country WOKQ/PORTSMOUTH, NH as co-host of the new “CHIO AND KIRA IN THE MORNING” show, effective MONDAY, APRIL 1st. He joins existing co-host KIRA LEW, and replaces BILL FOX, who left the station earlier this month (NET NEWS 3/5). “CHIO AND KIRA IN THE MORNING” will simulcast on sister Country station WPKQ (THE PEAK)/PORTLAND, ME. ACOSTA arrives from mornings at iHEART Soft AC WISX/PHILADELPHIA. LEW has been with WOKQ since 2017.

“CHIO is one of the premiere morning hosts in the country and WOKQ is one of the premiere brands in Country radio,” said OM ROBBY BRIDGES. “We are excited to have CHIO join the talented KIRA LEW to bring fun, laughs, conversation and the best music to NEW ENGLAND.”

The new show launches with the ”Win CHIO and KIRA’s Cash" promotion, a chance to win $5,000 three times per day, as well as CHIO and KIRA’s “Five Town Tour," where listeners will be encouraged to suggest the best places for breakfast for the show to broadcast from in MAY.
