Eric Clapton Sets 2019 Crossroads Guitar Festival For Dallas

ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME guitarist ERIC CLAPTON announced the fifth installment of his CROSSROADS GUITAR FESTIVAL will take place SEPTEMBER 20th-21st in DALLAS, the city which hosted the first-ever festival, at the AMERICAN AIRLINES CENTER.  

Among the acts who will perform are ALBERT LEE, ZZ TOP's BILLY GIBBONS, BONNIE RAITT, BUDDY GUY, DEREK TRUCKS, GARY CLARK JR., JEFF BECK, JOE WALSH, JONNY LANG, KEB MO', LOS LOBOS, PETER FRAMPTON, ROBERT CRAY, ROBERT RANDOLPH, SHERYL CROW, SONNY LANDRETH, SUSAN TEDESCHI and VINCE GILL.

All profits from the FESTIVAL will benefit THE CROSSROADS CENTRE in ANTIGUA, a treatment and education facility founded by CLAPTON for chemically dependent persons. 
 
CLAPTON’s vision for the FESTIVAL has been to create an event where his friends and contemporaries can have fun and perform together for the benefit of a good cause. The first FESTIVAL took place JUNE 2004 at the COTTON BOWL in DALLAS. The sold-out show was chronicled in a two-disc DVD that has since gone on to become one of the world’s top-selling music DVD’s. The FESTIVALs in 2007 and 2010 were staged at TOYOTA PARK in CHICAGO.  Both were filmed for DVDs and met similar acclaim and achieved multi-platinum status.  The fourth in 2013 brought the world’s best guitar players to NEW YORK's MADISON SQUARE GARDEN.

In addition to the concerts, the GUITAR CENTER FESTIVAL VILLAGE will be featured on VICTORY PLAZA adjacent to the arena. Some of the world’s best guitar and gear manufacturers, including ERNIE BALL, FENDER, GIBSON, MARTIN, PRS and others will host interactive exhibits where guitar enthusiasts can plug in and play new products and classic favorites.
