Audioboom Reports Record Revenues For First Quarter 2019

AUDIOBOOM GROUP PLC first quarter revenue for 2019 reached a record $4.6 million, a 180% increase from first quarter 2018. The company reported that revenue per 1,000 listens in the U.S. increased 67% year-to-year to $23.77; its brand advertiser count was up 55% year-to-year and 11% from third quarter to 178.
CEO ROB PROCTOR said, “We are delighted with our start to 2019. We have signed great new podcasts during Q1, are making compelling new content, F1: BEYOND THE GRID is performing exceptionally well, and we have industry leading sell through rates. Podcasting is now the growth sector in digital media for brands and broadcasters looking to consolidate or add podcast creation and content to their platforms and we are involved in more content negotiations and commercial opportunities than ever before. We are ideally positioned to benefit from this; and the continued corporate activity within the sector demonstrates AUDIOBOOM’s potential to deliver significant shareholder value this year.”
The company also noted that it has renewed its contracts with the SBI AUDIO podcast network for two years, "UNDISCLOSED" for one year, and "TRUE CRIME OBSESSED" for two years; several AUDIOBOOM ORIGINAL NETWORK shows were renewed as well, including "F1: BEYOND THE GRID" (two years), “COVERT,” and "MAFIA." New shows added to AUDIOBOOM in the quarter included "GENIUS BRAIN," "YOU CAN SIP WITH US," "WHAT HAPPENED WHEN," "CHILLING TALES FOR DARK NIGHTS " "SMALL TOWN DICKS," "THE INFLUENCER PODCAST," "WHAT’S GOOD WITH RUDOLPH AND MINISTER ," "THE EVIDENCE LOCKER," "SUNDAY VIBES: EXTRA TIME," "OUT TO LUNCH WITH JAY RAYNER," and "ALIEN NATION WITH JO WOOD."
