The Vinyl Answer: Record Store Day 2019 Is Saturday

Almost 1,400 independent stores in the U.S. and thousands internationally will take part in the 13th annual RECORD STORY DAY on SATURDAY, APRIL 13th. Over 250 exclusive, limited-run releases will be put on sale, along with a bevy of special events, live performances and giveaways. PEARL JAM has been named as this year's RECORD STORE DAY ambassador; they'll offer a vinyl release of their legendary Live At Easy Street CD.

Other specialties include:

• Raw studio mixes from JOHN LENNON's Imagine album
• MOTORHEAD’s tribute to THE RAMONES on a 7” release 
• ELVIS COSTELLO AND THE IMPOSTERS' Purse EP featuring COSTELLO songwriting collaborations with PAUL MCCARTNEY and JOHNNY CASH, among others
• Recordings of the complete WOODSTOCK performances by JANIS JOPLIN, SLY & THE FAMILY STONE and CANNED HEAT.
• A unique collaboration of DAVID BOWIE and MARLENE DIETRICH doing "Just a Gigolo."
• In The Garage: Live Music From WTF With MARC MARON

Also on tap are live performances of SOPHIE AUSTER and artist HOLLIS BROWN as part of WARNER MUSIC GROUP’s Record Store Crawl, which starts SATURDAY in NEW YORK CITY and winds its way through 12 cities over the next six months, and a record store tour of the music documentary, Industrial Accident: The Story of WAX TRAX! RECORDS, which hits stores in six markets in APRIL.
