Former UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI- ST. LOUIS administrator DONALD DRIEMEIER, who in 1971 created what is now ST. LOUIS PUBLIC RADIO for the college, passed away SATURDAY (4/6) at 80, the station is reporting.
DRIEMEIER, who served in several capacities at UMSL including Dean of the School of Business and Deputy to the Chancellor, obtained the construction permit for noncommercial KWMU/ST. LOUIS in 1971. The station is now known as ST. LOUIS PUBLIC RADIO. He retired in 2004.
