Hall of Fame hockey broadcaster MIKE LANGE will sit out the early games of the PITTSBURGH PENGUINS' STANLEY CUP Playoff run this year, the team has announced. LANGE has been sidelined due to an adverse reaction to pneumonia medication; he will, however, call in to TONIGHT's opening game broadcast on iHEARTMEDIA Alternative WXDX (X105.9)/PITTSBURGH during the first intermission to talk with studio host BRIAN METZER.
While LANGE recuperates, JOSH GETZOFF, who calls most road games while LANGE handles home games, will sit in for LANGE.
