Retiring After 22 Years In Radio

When CUMULUS Talk WAAV-A/WILMINGTON, NC morning man DONN ANSELL signs off at 8a TODAY, he'll retire from the show. ANSELL, 63, has been a steady wake-up call for a generation of WILMINGTON residents.

Now, as his radio career comes to a close, ANSELL is keeping his options open because the only thing he's retiring from, he says, is "getting up at 2a. I'm looking to see where I can be useful to the community. I've had a love affair with the community, and as critical as I can be on the air, it's been love at first sight," he said.
