FORDHAM UNIVERSITY Triple A WFUV/NEW YORK has elevated overnight and fill-in host ERIC HOLLAND to the MONDAY-THURSDAY evening shift (6-10p) and as the new AMD. He begins his new shift TODAY (4/15).
"We already know and respect ERIC for his work as WFUV's utility player for nearly a decade -- filling in for other on air-staffers, hosting interviews, and as an ace fundraiser," said WFUV PD RITA HOUSTON. "But we are now so happy to have him on the team full time."
HOLLAND has a long resume which also includes: NY1-TV's music reporter from 2012-2017; the co-host of a radio program, "Henna Communication," in TOKYO, JAPAN; and PD and afternoon host at KKLV/HONOLULU.
Further, HOLLAND had on-air stints at stations in UPSTATE NEW YORK and BOSTON. He also taught at EMERSON COLLEGE in BOSTON, where he received his Master of Arts.
"I'm amped, jazzed, and feel extremely fortunate to be taking over the evening host and AMD gig," said HOLLAND. "There is no radio station where I'd rather be than WFUV. We play an inimitable, adventurous mix of music in the non-commercial realm. I have tremendous respect for all the people I'll continue to work with who are dedicated to the fun and magic of this community of music and radio lovers."
HOLLAND takes over the evening host role from ALISA ALI, who has moved to the MONDAY-FRIDAY midday slot, 10a-2p, and he succeeds CARMEL HOLT as the AMD.
