Radio Vet Bill Whyte Signs With Billy Blue Publishing

RYMAN HOSPITALITY WSM-A/NASHVILLE personality BILL WHYTE has signed with the recently-formed BILLY BLUE PUBLISHING, which serves Bluegrass and Americana songwriters. A 2012 inductee into the COUNTRY RADIO HALL OF FAME, WHYTE has led country morning radio shows at WUBE/Cincinnati, WMIL/Milwaukee, WFMS/Indianapolis, and both WSM-F and WSM-A/Nashville.
In addition to his radio work, WHYTE is a songwriter, comedian, and performer who has recorded two comedy song albums, “Off The Wall” and “Leave Em’ Laughin’.” His songwriting credits include “Safe Haven” by HILLARY SCOTT & THE SCOTT FAMILY (included on the GRAMMY Award-winning album “Love Remains”); JOE NICHOLS’ “Crickets”; RAY STEVENS’ “Retired”; CLEDUS T. JUDD’s “Goin’ Ugly Early”; and LINDA DAVIS’ “Snowed In Christmas.” He is also a longtime parody songwriter for UNITED STATIONS RADIO NETWORKS.
