There wasn't a lot of action in the FCC database for radio transactions THURSDAY morning (4/18), although the paperwork for two more of CUMULUS' previously-announced deals, the sale of Classic Rock KLOS/LOS ANGELES by CUMULUS' RADIO LICENSE HOLDINGS LLC to MERUELO MEDIA's KLOS RADIO HOLDINGS, LLC for $43 million and the obtaining of W279DM/EASTON, PA, the rebroadcaster of Sports WEEX-A/EASTON, in the swap of stations with CONNOISSEUR MEDIA, did show up TODAY.
In other filings showing up this morning, CUMULUS' RADIO LICENSE HOLDING CBC, LLC has applied for an STA to operate Classic Hits KHYT (K-HIT 107.5)/TUCSON with reduced power due to antenna problems.
ALPHA MEDIA LICENSEE LLC has requested an STA to operate Urban AC WWDM (101.3 THE BIG DM)/SUMTER-COLUMBIA, SC from a temporary facility due to transmission system failure.
JAEMIN CHANG and HYUNJOO CHANG have filed for a Silent STA for K292HC/WOODLAKE, CA due to interference.
EDGEWATER BROADCASTING, INC. has closed on the sale of W221DL/SOUTH HAVEN, MI (now W293DB/CHAMPAIGN, IL) to RUBEN'S PRODUCTIONS, INC. for $55,000. The translator rebroadcasts Spanish Variety WKJR-A (RADIO VARIEDADES)/RANTOUL, IL.
And WZOE, INC. has closed on the sale of News-Talk WZOE-A and Classic Hits WZOE-F (Z98)/PRINCETON, IL and Country WRVY-F/HENRY, IL to VIRDEN BROADCASTING CORP. for $315,000 plus $225,000 for real estate.
Also, AKMA BROADCAST NETWORK, INC., licensee of WPSO-A/NEW PORT RICHEY, FL, has been served with a Notice of Violation for operating at night. The station is licensed as a daytimer.
And METROEAST COMMUNITY MEDIA, licensee of K296FT/WEST HAVEN, OR, has been hit with a Notice of Violation for switching from a nondirectional antenna to a directional antenna without authorization.
