Former DENVER BRONCOS Pro Bowl center TOM NALEN is joining BONNEVILLE Sports KKFN (104.3 THE FAN)/DENVER as DARREN "DMAC" MCKEE's "THE DRIVE" co-host 3-6p (MT) weekdays, starting MONDAY (4/22). NALEN, who has hosted at crosstown KSE Sports KKSE-A (ALTITUDE SPORTS), MILE HIGH SPORTS NETWORK, and FRONT RANGE SPORTS NETWORK Sports KDSP (102.3 ESPN)/DENVER-KJAC (105.5 ESPN), replaces ALFRED WILLIAMS, who exited recently and is expected to join crosstown iHEARTMEDIA News-Talk KOA-A-K231BQ-K231AA and Sports KDSP-A (ORANGE AND BLUE 760) once his noncompete runs out.
“I’m still pinching myself. I cannot believe TOM NALEN is my new radio partner,” said MCKEE. “Our friendship goes back to his days playing for the BRONCOS and continued after he retired. I honestly don’t know if I’ve ever been more excited or happy professionally following this move. To host ‘THE DRIVE' every day with TOM NALEN is an absolute dream come true.”
“Similar to KEVIN DURANT, if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em right?” said NALEN. “I’m thrilled to be joining THE FAN, it’s going to be a blast challenging DMAC and having fun with him every day.”
“While TOMMY’s football credentials are unquestionable, it’s his personality that made him the perfect fit as our new co-host of ‘THE DRIVE’,” said PD RAJ SHARAN. “His sense of humor mixed with blunt honesty and a heart of gold add up to one of the most loveable figures in DENVER sports history. During our audition process, his chemistry with DMAC was instant and undeniable, as was the overwhelming feedback we received from our listeners. It was clear and obvious that TOMMY was the people’s choice, and I’m thrilled all of BRONCOS Country will enjoy his insight and charm every weekday on their drive home.”
