ENTERCOM News-Talk KMOX-A/ST. LOUIS Entertainment Editor HARRY HAMM has been charged with child sexual abuse and possession of child pornography, according to the ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH.
HAMM, 77, who has been with KMOX since 1975 as a regular on various shows and in past years has been heard reviewing movies on sister stations and on a CBS RADIO feature "IN THE SPOTLIGHT," was charged with three felonies, second-degree statutory sodomy, incest, and possession of child pornography, and accused of "deviate sexual intercourse" with a relative under 17 years of age as well as possession on his phone of nude pictures of children under 18.
CBS affiliate KMOV-TV reports that the relative went to ST. ANN, IL police on THURSDAY morning to file a report, and police say that HAMM confessed to the allegations while being questioned by police.
A statement from ENTERCOM said, "We have just learned of the troubling allegations against HARRY HAMM. We take these matters very seriously and have placed him on immediate leave as we investigate. We do not have any further comment at this moment."
