WNVZ/Norfolk 'Ushers' In The Weekend In Style

Happening This Weekend!

ENTERCOM Top 40 WNVZ (Z-104)/NORFOLK helped everyone roll into the weekend in style last night (4/25) at USHER & FRIENDS SKATE PARTY. MD and Z Morning Zoo co-host SHAGGY loved rollerskating at the local rink in HAYGOOD, VA when he was a kid. He hung around so much, he eventually became its resident DJ.  Years later, as an adult, he bought the place! 

Enter PHARRELL WILLIAMS, who grew up in VIRGINIA BEACH, and is in town for his SOMETHING IN THE WATER festival happening over the weekend. WILLIAMS rented that very rink for the night so that he, USHER and 500 of their closest friends could skate the night away!  VIRGINIA BEACH resident and Hip Hop artist PUSHA T, along with NFL Hall Of Famer BRUCE SMITH, and retired NFL star AARON ROUSE (now a city council member) were all spotted having fun.

Z-104 PD NATALIA told ALL ACCESS, “SHAGGY is so well connected in the music industry. He’s a local superstar and it’s a pleasure to call him a friend and teammate. He'll do a show tonight on Z-104 with producer, artist and writer TEDDY RILEY, also from VIRGINIA BEACH. Then, at 9pm, DIPLO takes over Z-104 before he, PHARRELL, TEDDY and PUSHA T later take the stage along the gorgeous VIRGINIA BEACH oceanfront at the SOMETHING IN THE WATER event.”
