With The Mighty 1090/San Diego Gone, Scott & B.R. Stream On, With Help From Callaway Golf

THE SCOTT AND B.R. SHOW lives on after the demise of THE MIGHTY 1090/SAN DIEGO (NET NEWS 4/29), streaming live from a studio at the headquarters of CALLAWAY GOLF.  SCOTT KAPLAN and BILLY RAY SMITH's show is streaming 3-6p (PT) on YOUTUBE and FACEBOOK Live. 

KAPLAN told AWFUL ANNOUNCING that CALLAWAY has "a bomb studio, and they’ve offered it to us for as long as we want. We can broadcast from there on the streams that we were using, like TWITTER and YOUTUBE, and we can keep ourselves on the air and in everybody’s face for the immediate future.”  He added that he had attempted to buy THE MIGHTY 1090 from BROADCAST COMPANY OF THE AMERICAS after seeing the company's books about a month ago under a nondisclosure agreement, but concluded that he would not be able to do a lease deal with the holders of the Mexican licenses.

CALLAWAY MEDIA PRODUCTIONS Exec. Producer JEFF NEUBARTH told AWFUL ANNOUNCING that he and Global Dir. of Brand Management JASON FINLEY reached out after THE MIGHTY 1090's abrupt shutdown to offer their studio, where KAPLAN and SMITH had broadcast three remotes in the past.  KAPLAN said that he hoped to announce more permanent plans for the show in the future.
