SLATE's "SLOW BURN" podcast has a new host for season three, and a slightly altered premise.

After the departure at the end of last year of the show's original host LEON NEYFAKH to launch a new, similar podcast, "FIASCO" (which ended up on the roster of original podcasts offered by LUMINARY), SLATE has hired former ESPN and BUZZFEED reporter JOEL ANDERSON to host "SLOW BURN" for its third season this FALL.  The show, which examined political scandals in its first two seasons, WATERGATE and the BILL CLINTON impeachment, will pivot from politics to a different topic for the new season, the murders of TUPAC SHAKUR and THE NOTORIOUS B.I.G.
