Condolences to family and friends of longtime TAMPA BAY area radio station owner CARL MARCOCCI, who died THURSDAY night moments after his company's holiday dinner in SPRING HILL, FL at 68. MARCOCCI had just left the OUTBACK STEAKHOUSE when his car jumped the curb and smashed through a fence and into a storage unit; authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
MARCOCCI owned Oldies WJQB (TRUE OLDIES 106.3)/PALM HARBOR, Hot AC WXCV (CITRUS 95)/HOMOSASSA SPRINGS, and Classic Hits simulcast WXOF (96.3 THE FOX)/YANKEETOWN-WINF-A/BEVERLY HILLS at the time of his death and previously owned Adult Standards WGUL-A-F/NEW PORT RICHEY-TAMPA for many years.
