Minor league baseball's BINGHAMTON RUMBLE PONIES are getting a new radio voice, as Dir./Broadcasting & Media Relations TIM HEIMAN is exiting to take a mechanical engineering job and ENTERCOM Sports WFAN-A-F/NEW YORK and SIRIUSXM sports anchor JACOB WILKINS steps in to replace him, effective TODAY (5/1)
HEIMAN joined the PONIES, then the BINGHAMTON METS, as Broadcast and Media Relations Assistant to MATT MCCABE in 2011, then moved up to the lead radio position in 2012. He will continue to call BINGHAMTON UNIVERSITY sports. WILKINS called HUDSON VALLEY RENEGADES baseball for two seasons after his graduation from PENN STATE in 2010.
The PONIES, the Double-A EASTERN LEAGUE affiliate of the NEW YORK METS, are heard on TOWNSQUARE MEDIA News-Talk WNBF-A/BINGHAMTON.
