TIMES-SHAMROCK COMMUNICATIONS Alternative WFUZ (ALT 92.1)/WILKES BARRE-SCRANTON welcomes back TOM FERGUSON for PD/afternoons, effective MONDAY, MAY 13th. He replaces PHIL KUKAWINSKI, who exited a couple months ago for the PD post at ALPHA MEDIA Alternative WGHL (ALT 105.1)/LOUISVILLE.
FERGUSON was most recently doing PM-drive at cross-town ENTERCOM Classic Hits WMQX (MAX 102.3). He previously programmed WFUZ from 2013-2017 and helped rebrand the station from FUZZ 92.1 to ALT 92.1.
On returning to ALT 92.1, FERGUSON told ALL ACCESS, "I'm extremely grateful for my time spent at ENTERCOM in WILKES-BARRE, where I got to work with some incredible radio professionals. They gave me a shot when I desperately needed it, and I can't thank them enough for believing in me. All that said, when TERRY DEITZ offered me the chance to "come back home, I couldn't possibly turn that down. I'm incredibly excited to be returning to the format I love, with the company I started with, and to do it all in my hometown. i understand the challenges ahead of me, maybe better than most, and I can't wait to hit the ground running to try to take ALT 92.1 to the heights I believe it can achieve."
