ATLANTA-based LEGACY MEDIA HOLDINGS LLC has announced the purchase of its first radio station in support of its plans to build a network of multi-media markets across the SOUTHERN region of the U.S., with the acquisition of CONCORD MEDIA owned, CLEAR CHANNEL operated N/T KWAM-A (990)/MEMPHIS.
LEGACY MEDIA Chairman & CEO MICHAEL EASTERLY said, "We are serious about growing our brand throughout the SOUTH and SOUTHEAST in a reasonably short period of time. We are currently reviewing more than 15 other stations for possible acquisition within the next 12 months. These target market sizes range from mid-size like MEMPHIS to much smaller markets. The areas surrounding ATLANTA are definitely on our radar screen. We want to be the station of choice in the markets that we choose to enter."
