ALL ACCESS has learned that HUBBARD Hot AC KSTP (KS95)/ST. PAUL-MINNEAPOLIS afternoon "MOON & STACI" co-host LARRY "MOON" THOMPSON has announced that he will be stepping down this FALL after 17 years with the station.
PD LEIGHTON PECK told ALL ACCESS, "Not only has MOON been a tremendous on-air talent with a never-ending passion for radio he and (co-host) STACI (MATTHEWS) have dominated afternoon ratings in the TWIN CITIES for nearly two decades. As some may know, MOON has been suffering with M.S. after being diagnosed in 2005 and has decided he needs to concentrate full time on his health. It was a very hard decision for him to make and we will all miss his incredible sense of humor and the fun he brings to the air and in the hallways. He will leave the radio business and KS95 in early OCTOBER."
PECK said that STACI will continue in afternoons and a nationwide search will commence to find a new co-host.
