Dr. Frank Stanton Dead At 98

TV broadcast icon FRANK STANTON, CBS President for 26 years, passed away at his home in BOSTON on SUNDAY (12/24), at the age of 98.

STANTON introduced the CBS EYE logo, and took a hardline on news journalism and ethics and the need to separate the government from intereference and content.  That stance permeated not only the TV network, but carried over into the CBS RADIO newsroom, as well.
