Veteran public radio reporter, producer, and editor CAITLYN KIM is joining COLORADO PUBLIC RADIO as WASHINGTON reporter.
KIM, most recently a temporary editor for NPR's WEEKEND EDITION, has served as an assignment editor for NEW YORK PUBLIC RADIO News-Talk WNYC-A-F/NEW YORK and a reporter for KQED, INC. News-Talk KQED/SAN FRANCISCO and NORTHEAST PUBLIC RADIO News-Talk WAMC/ALBANY, NY and on a freelance basis for other public radio stations, and also worked an analyst for the DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE, duty officer in the WHITE HOUSE Situation Room, and foreign service officer for the STATE DEPARTMENT. She will focus on COLORADO's Congressional delegation and policy issues affecting Coloradans.
“News that affects Coloradans happens every day -- sometimes every hour -- in WASHINGTON, D.C.,” said Exec. Editor KEVIN DALE. “It’s critical to have a reporter on the ground in D.C. to focus on COLORADO politicians, policy makers and federal agencies making decisions about topics that impact Coloradans -- from public land and natural resource management to military issues.”
