The man arrested for the 2016 hit-and-run death of SPANISH BROADCASTING SYSTEM Tropical WSKQ (MEGA 97.9)/NEW YORK DJ JINX PAUL (real name: JOHN PAUL GUERRERO) violated terms of his original plea deal and will now spend 90 days in jail with five years’ probation, plus 100 hours of community service, PIX11.COM reports.
KEVIN OZORIA of MANHATTAN originally pled guilty to leaving the scene without reporting the incident in MARCH in a deal where he was sentenced to five years’ probation, 100 hours of community service, but no jail time. More serious charges were dropped due to lack of evidence.
Yet OZORIA returned to court earlier this month for violating his bail when he allegedly sexually abused a young family member on MARCH 31st.
“This defendant admitted to striking JEAN PAUL GUERRERO and driving away, leaving a popular DJ and a beloved member of our community to tragically die in the street,” BROOKLYN DA ERIC GONZALEZ said in a statement. “He then violated the terms of his guilty plea and has now been held accountable.”
