BONNEVILLE News-Talk KIRO-F/SEATTLE's 9a-noon hosts TOM TANGNEY and JOHN CURLEY drew a standing-room-only crowd to the TRIPLE DOOR THEATRE in SEATTLE FRIDAY night (5/17) for a live show.
"ANOTHER VERY SPECIAL EVENING WITH TOM AND CURLEY," produced by the hosts with producer JACOB RUMMEL and featuring KIRO's FELIKS BANEL, ANDREW ENDZELL, RACHEL BELLE, and URSULA REUTIN with DEBORAH JUDD, the teacher who survived the LAKE CITY shooting in MARCH, as special guest, followed in the wake of noon-3p host DORI MONSON's sold-out live one-man show in APRIL. CURLEY also raised money for CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL by auctioning off some show items.
"What really struck me was how diverse and engaged the entire crowd was," Dir./News and Programming RYAN MAGUIRE said. "The entire theatre was filled with men and women of different ages and ethnic backgrounds. All of them stuck around after the show to meet the cast members, get pictures and show genuine appreciation for their work. On a personal note, it's humbling to work with such a talented group of people and to lead a radio brand with such loyal listeners. These are GREAT stories that speak very highly of KIRO as a media brand."
