WRTB/Rockford, IL Collects Nearly 800 Shoeboxes For Soldiers

MID-WEST FAMILY BROADCASTING Country WRTB (95.3 THE BULL)/ROCKFORD, IL collected more than 795 boxes of supplies for U.S. troops in its recent “Shoeboxes For Soldiers” drive. Station staffers had hoped to collect 95 boxes in this first year of the drive, but PD/morning man STEVE SUMMERS tells ALL ACCESS, “95.3 The BULL listeners crushed it!”

The boxes -- which contain items such as coffee, socks, toothpaste and sports gear -- will be delivered to the nonprofit OPERATION SHOEBOX in JUNE. APD/afternoon host GORDON MAYS is pictured showing off some of the donations.
