The NEW YORK chapter of the SOCIETY OF PROFESSIONAL JOURNALISTS handed out its 2019 DEADLINE CLUB AWARDS MONDAY night at the HARVARD CLUB OF NEW YORK. THE NEW YORK TIMES' MAGGIE HABERMAN and CNN's BRIAN STELTER were the featured guests at the annual event, which raised funds for the NYSPJ's scholarship program.

Winners in the two radio-specific categories were:

• Radio or Audio Feature Reporting: JIM ROOPE, WESTWOOD ONE NEWS, "LAS VEGAS: Remembering and Healing”
• Radio or Audio Investigative Reporting: AUDREY QUINN and DAVID LEWIS, NEW YORK PUBLIC RADIO News-Talk WNYC-A-F/NEW YORK, “For NEW JERSEY Jails: Suicides and Overdoses, but Little Oversight”
