Country artist EMMA WHITE has teamed up with friend and NASHVILLE businesswoman JENNIFER COYLE to launch WHITEHOUSE RECORDS. The independent label’s first release is WHITE’s single, “Ten Year Town” (available now on digital platforms), but WHITE and COYLE plan to eventually sign other female artists. In addition to label services, WHITEHOUSE will also offer publishing, touring and management. WHITE is booked by WME.
“I’d had meeting after meeting with gender at the forefront of the conversation and decision-making process, which struck a chord with me,” said WHITE. “There’s some great talk happening regarding the importance of gender equality in the music industry. JENNIFER and I wanted to create a company dedicated to diversity and inclusion, giving great female artists a voice.”
“I’m excited to be part of WHITEHOUSE RECORDS and launching EMMA’s career,” added COYLE. “We look forward to a long and prosperous venture in NASHVILLE’s music industry as women investing in other women.”
“Ten Year Town” is about the struggle of making it as a female artist in the music industry. Listen here.
