Anna Maria Tremonti To Exit CBC's 'The Current' And Launch Podcasts For Network

CBC RADIO ONE "THE CURRENT" host ANNA MARIA TREMONTI has announced her exit after 16 seasons and her plan to produce and host podcasts for the network. TREMONTI has been the show's host since its inception in 2002 and will remain host through JUNE 20th; her first new podcast, an interview show, will debut in the FALl with a second show to be announced later this year.

The CBC is launching a search for TREMONTI's replacement on "THE CURRENT," which will continue at its present 8:30a slot.
