CURTIS MEDIA Country WQDR (94.7 QDR)/RALEIGH has temporarily rebranded as "94-7 HOOTIE-R" in anticipation of an upcoming show with HOOTIE & THE BLOWFISH on FRIDAY, MAY 31st. Leading up to the show tomorrow, the station will be playing the pop band's biggest hits, along with some of the Country hits made by its frontman, DARIUS RUCKER, and will program a “QDR Encore” for its listeners to hear post-show. The station has also been giving away tickets to the sold-out show all week.

WQDR PD/afternoon host MIKE “MAD DAWG” BIDDLE shared, “This by far one of the most anticipated shows of the year, and we wanted to share in that excitement with our listeners. For me, HOOTIE was the first real concert I bought a ticket to in 1995 but unfortunately, the show got rained out two songs into their set. Needless to say, I'm excited to see the show I never got to see.” BIDDLE will also broadcast his show from the venue parking lot tomorrow.
