NASHVILLE-based label BLACK RIVER ENTERTAINMENT (BRE) will host the newly-created "60-Second Spotlight" event during CMA FEST's XFINITY FAN FAIR X in NASHVILLE (6/6-6/8). Fans will have the opportunity to perform, for one minute, in front of industry professionals, including BRE's Pres./CEO GORDON KERR, EVP RICK FROIO and VP/A&R DOUG JOHNSON.
“There is so much talent in the world and these days, it seems that discovering talent can happen in many different ways,” KERR said. “At BLACK RIVER, we love gathering together to hear new talent perform in a comfortable setting, as we do in our new space called ‘The Deck.’ Our desire through the ‘60-Second Spotlight’ is to create a similar environment where an aspiring artist/songwriter has the opportunity to share their talent and take one more step towards their dream. We see ‘60-Second Spotlight’ as an opportunity to bring ‘The Deck’ experience to the fans of Country music at CMA MUSIC FEST, and possibly discover incredible new talent. You just never know what could happen.”
