ENVISION NETWORKS will offer the AFTERME online notification platform to radio affiliates. Already popular with newspapers and television, ALERTME is a click-and-follow solution for keeping listeners engaged with the news, information and entertainment stories provided to them.
Radio veterans and ALERTME co-founders WALTER BURR and ADAM SHAPIRO developed the platform to expand the digital reach of affiliates through its audience engagement proposition. When a news item is shared over the air, it sends listeners to radio websites with a click of the ALERTME button, which notifies and sends the listener via text or email any follow-up news or information shared on the same topic.
Said SHAPIRO, “ALERTME is thrilled to partner with ENVISION NETWORKS to help stations frequently drive listeners from the studio to the station’s website. A radio station no longer just competes with others on the dial, but with all the media clutter out there that distracts the audience from coming back every day. This simple button helps change that overnight.”
ALERTME already drives increased reader engagement and revenue for HEARST, TRIBUNE and WATERMAN BROADCASTING, among others. The service's goal is to reduce dependency on social media for site traffic while improving the user experience and increasing reader loyalty.
