The Great Khalid Foundation Launches With Three Scholarships To Local El Paso Students

Multi-platinum-selling artist and global superstar KHALID recently teamed up with his mother, LINDA WOLFE, to launch THE GREAT KHALID FOUNDATION in EL PASO, TX. With plans to expand nationally, THE FOUNDATION is dedicated to creating an atmosphere of support and freedom for kids to fulfill their dreams. THE FOUNDATION’s PERFORMING ARTS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM presented three $10,000 scholarships to local high school seniors pursuing a performing arts degree – HAILE CHAVIRA, CELESTE BARRON and STEVEN PHAN. 

THE FOUNDATION’s stated goal is to invest in the community’s children and their future. Partnering with music education programs in schools, scholarship awards for high school seniors, community partnerships and gift giveaways to celebrate important milestones in a child’s life. 

Commented KHALID, “I created a foundation that supports music and schools in underserved communities. It starts in EL PASO and my goal is to provide resources and help bridge education and prominent music programs in the city.”

Added his mom LINDA, “We are excited that our first initiative as a formal organization is providing educational support for talented students in our community that dream of sharing their gifts with the world. it’s an honor to be a part of their journey as artists.”
