New Management Brings Changes To WCBU/Peoria Staff, Schedule

Changes

With ILLINOIS STATE UNIVERSITY noncommercial Variety WGLT/NORMAL, IL taking over operations of BRADLEY UNIVERSITY Variety WCBU/PEORIA on JUNE 1st (NET NEWS 4/19), staff and schedule changes have come to WCBU.

Among the new staffers are TIM SHELLEY as Digital Content Director and Newsroom Assignment Editor, inbound from crosstown NBC-ABC-CW affiliate WEEK-TV and COMET affiliate WHOI-TV and former NPR ILLINOIS State House Reporter DANA VOLLMER as reporter. Also, DANIEL MUSISI has been upped to MORNING EDITION local host. In addition, several WGLT staffers will double up with WCBU duties.

As for programming, the station has dropped "THE TAKEAWAY" and "THE WORLD" and has added "WORLD CAFE" for 7-9p (CT); later this SUMMER, WCBU's national schedule will be synced with WGLT's to save money in programming fees and expenses.
