VIRGIN EMI/CAPITOL RECORDS honored singer/songwriter LEWIS CAPALDI with a plaque commemorating over one million global adjusted album sales, including over one billion combined streams of his debut album Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent.
The album is also the fastest selling U.K. debut of 2019 with 90,000 albums sold in the first week. CAPALDI’s breakout single, “Someone You Loved,” spent seven straight weeks at #1 in the U.K. and recently hit #1 on SPOTIFY’s Today’s Top Hits playlist. The single is trending Top 15 on the MEDIABASE Hot AC Chart and is about to chart at Top 40.

CAPALDI’s NORTH AMERICAN summer tour sold out early on and a series of fall 2019 dates was added. His 2020 tour of the U.K. and IRELAND recently sold out in mere seconds, making him the first artist in history to sell out arenas prior to the release of a debut album. He will join both ED SHEERAN and THE KILLERS on tour in the U.K. this summer.
