The FCC has reached a consent decree with a MASSACHUSETTS pirate FM station operator.
The deal struck with VASCO OBURONI and CHRISTIAN PRAISE INTERNATIONAL CHURCH of WORCESTER, MA, who operated a pirate station on 97.1 FM (and 102.3 FM before that) has the operators agreeing not to operate an unlicensed radio station, to surrender all of their broadcasting equipment, and agree that violating the settlement with a resumption of unlicensed broadcasting will result in a $75,000 fine.
OBURONI was previously fined $15,000 and agreed to a payment plan but then began operating on another frequency.
