RTDNA Announces 2019 Kaleidoscope Award Winners

The RADIO TELEVISION DIGITAL NEWS ASSOCIATION (RTDNA) has announced the 2019 recipients of its KALEIDOSCOPE AWARDS, honoring news organizations' coverage and contributions to diversity. The winners will be recognized at the  "Honoring a Lifetime of Excellence in Journalism" ceremony at the 2019 EXCELLENCE IN JOURNALISM CONFERENCE in SAN ANTONIO SEPTEMBER 6th.

The winners are:

• Small/Large Market Radio: UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI-ST. LOUIS News-Talk KWMU (ST. LOUIS PUBLIC RADIO)/ST. LOUIS, "WE LIVE HERE" (podcast), "Nuisance or Nonsense" episode
• Network Radio: NPR's "LATINO USA," "By Right of Discovery"
• Small/Large Market TV: NBC O&O KNTV (NBC BAY AREA)/SAN JOSE-SAN FRANCISCO, "Transgender Kids: A Changing Student Body"
• Network TV: ESPN, "CROSSROADS"
• Digital News Organization: THE CENTER FOR PUBLIC INTEGRITY, "ABANDONED IN AMERICA"
