Forrest Goodman, WREC/Memphis PD/Host And Memphis Tigers Pre- And Post-Game Host, Dies At 48

FORREST GOODMAN, the iHEARTMEDIA News-Talk WREC-A-W221CR/MEMPHIS PD and morning co-host and longtime pre-game and post-game host for UNIVERSITY OF MEMPHIS football and men's basketball, died MONDAY (6/10). He was 48.

GOODMAN hosted MEMPHIS TIGERS studio and coaches' shows for rights holder LEARFIELD IMG COLLEGE since 1999 and served as PD at WREC since late 2017 after a previous stint in the position in 2006-13; he also hosted mornings on CUMULUS' short-lived News-Talk WKIM/MEMPHIS in 2014-15 and called high school and DELTA STATE UNIVERSITY sports; he also spent a year as Digital Strategist at the COMMERCIAL APPEAL, producing podcasts for the daily newspaper. More recently, GOODMAN co-hosted "THE RUB PODCAST," a barbecue-centric show for WREC.
