SiriusXM Host Dean Obeidallah Awarded $4.1 Million In Libel Case Against Neo-Nazi Website

A judge has ordered neo-Nazi website THE DAILY STORMER and its founder ANDREW ANGLIN to pay SIRIUSXM PROGRESS talk show host and comedian DEAN OBEIDALLAH $4.1 million in damages for libel, reports THE DAILY BEAST. OBEIDALLAH won his libel lawsuit against by default last JULY after repeated and extensive attempts to serve the suit on ANGLIN failed; OBEIDALLAH filed in U.S. District Court in OHIO to be awarded over $1 million in punitive damages and $250,000 in compensatory damages in the case, and the judge added punitive damages to the judgement.

OBEIDALLAH, a contributor to THE DAILY BEAST who said that ANGLIN and his site began attacking him after he wrote a column entitled “Will DONALD TRUMP Ever Say the Words ‘White Supremacist Terrorism’?,”  told THE DAILY BEAST that he plans to donate the money to organizations that combat bigotry, "the very groups Nazis despise.” ANGLIN has been hiding from the court for over a year and did not come forward to testify in the case.
