WUSL (Power 99)/Philadelphia Holds Annual ‘Peace On The Street Jams’ Series

iHEARTMEDIA Urban WUSL (POWER 99)/PHILADELPHIA will kick off the first of three annual PEACE ON THE STREET JAMS today. It’s a free series of anti-violence live events and activities designed to promote peace and provide communities with resources to prevent violence.
This first event will take place at GREAT PLAZA at PENN’S LANDING from 6-8p (ET). The featured artists will include CALBOY, LIGHTSKINKEISHA, and DJ DIAMOND KUTS AND FRIENDS.
Dir./News/Community Affairs LORAINE BALLARD MORRILL said, “PHILADELPHIA is experiencing a sharp spike in gun related deaths. There’s never been a better time to promote the message of peace on our streets than now.
POWER 99 helps give voice to those who are working hard to end the cycle of violence impacting our community. POWER 99 is working closely with community-based organizations to help make our neighborhoods safer.”
The series is being presented by LIVE NATION AND J&S MITSUBISHI. Other local business supporting the venture include The COMMUNITY COLLEGE OF PHILADELPHIA, FORMAN MILLS, COMMONWEALTH CHARTER ACADEMY, READBY4TH, and MIKE AND IKE.
