St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Honors Entercom With 2019 Spotlight Award

ST. JUDE CHILDREN'S RESEARCH HOSPITAL honored ENTERCOM COMMUNICATIONS with its 2019 SPOTLIGHT AWARD at the organization's annual Volunteer Awards Dinner in MEMPHIS on WEDNESDAY, JUNE 12th. The award recognized the fundraising efforts of ENTERCOM Country WUSY (U.S. 101)/CHATTANOOGA for its "Heart Strings For Hope" event, that raised over $1 million for ST. JUDE in the last ten years.

“‘Heart Strings for Hope’ has become one of the most prestigious events in CHATTANOOGA, TN,” ENTERCOM/CHATTANOOGA SVP/Market Mgr. NICHOLE HARTMAN said. “It holds a special place in the heart of our community, and CHATTANOOGA has proven, year after year, its support for the kids of ST. JUDE CHILDREN’S RESEARCH HOSPITAL. Along with our partners, WILL MILLER and the MILLER FAMILY FOUNDATION, we’re truly honored to be the voice of such a fantastic and worthy cause. ST. JUDE won’t stop until no child dies from childhood cancer and neither will we.”

In addition to “Heart Strings For Hope,” U.S. 101 has supported ST. JUDE CHILDREN’S RESEARCH HOSPITAL through several annual events since 1994, including the “St. Jude Rodeo,” “Country Cares St. Jude Radiothon,” and the “Tony O’Rear Bowl for Life Tournament.”  Overall, the station has raised a total of over $8 million.
