No new station sale transactions appeared in the FCC database MONDAY morning, with only the previously-announced URBAN ONE sale of WDMK/DETROIT and three translators to BEASLEY and a pro-forma transfer of NRG MEDIA's stations from one corporate entity to another to reflect a change in financing making the list.
In the filings that did appear in the database TODAY, requesting STAs were AMERICAN EDUCATION FOUNDATION, INC. (WOAM-A/PEORIA, IL, parameters at variance to get station back on the air) and WEEU BROADCASTING COMPANY (WEEU-A/READING, PA, nondirectional at reduced power at night due to storm damage).
Applying for Silent STAs were SACRAMENTO AREA PEACE ACTION (KAKP-LP/SACRAMENTO, interference and channel change) and NORTH COUNTY BROADCASTING CORP (KFSD-A/ESCONDIDO, CA, financial problems).
BUSTOS MEDIA HOLDINGS, LLC has closed on the sale of Chinese KTXV-A (CHINA RADIO INTERNATIONAL/CHINA PLUS)/MABANK-DALLAS, TX to JAMES SU's DALLAS MAJOR RADIO LLC for $1.8 million less credit for payments under an existing time brokerage agreement.
And KCMB, LLC has closed on the sale of K229BN/LA GRANDE, OR to FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH OF RIVERVIEW for $20,000. The primary station will be noncommercial KOLU/PASCO, WA.
