WCTK/Providence Promotes Maddie Grimaldi And Courtney Kelley

At HALL COMMUNICATIONS Country WCTK (CAT COUNTRY 98.1)/PROVIDENCE MADELYN “MADDIE” GRIMALDI is promoted to morning co-host, where she is paired with BRIAN MULHERN, effective immediately. GRIMALDI joined the station in 2015. She started as an intern in the Promotion department, later rising to Promotions Asst. and Dir./Social Media before joining the air staff, initially for fill-ins before landing the midday spot last FALL (NET NEWS 11/28/18). She replaces AMANDA LEONARDO, who departed the station after the birth of her baby girl earlier this year (NET NEWS 5/22).

Taking over middays is veteran PROVIDENCE personality COURTNEY KELLEY, who has been with WCTK since 2013, hosting weekends and fill-ins. 

“I’m excited to join BRIAN and have some fun in the morning,” said GRIMAMDI. “I’m grateful for the opportunity that HALL COMMUNICATIONS has given me to grow in the business and as an on-air personality.”

Said MULHERN, “MADDIE gets it. She has been connecting with our fans since she first came to CAT COUNTRY both on the air and through social media. Looks like she’s ready to babysit me in the morning!”

“I’ve got my CAT COUNTRY on six years ago,” said KELLEY. “I look forward to being on the air each day building camaraderie with our fans while they are at work.”

HALL VP/Programming and WCTK PD BOB WALKER added, “Our philosophy is to hire great people and allow them to grow in our company and the industry. Being able to see these two talented personalities take on new challenges is what it’s all about.”
