Garth Brooks Makes Surprise Appearance At '99.5 WYCD Hoedown'

Country superstar GARTH BROOKS surprised fans at ENTERCOM Country WYCD/DETROIT’s annual event, "99.5 WYCD Hoedown," on SATURDAY, JUNE 15th. BROOKS' historic performance marked the 30th anniversary since his first appearance on the station's "Downtown Hoedown" on MAY 13th, 1989.

"GARTH BROOKS always promised he would return to perform at the hoedown, and he is a man of his word,” said WYCD PD TIM ROBERTS. “He lived up to it, and as always, exceeds expectations with his live performance. This sort of epitomizes why he is the #1 performer in the world.”

The concert also featured headliner BRANTLEY GILBERT, along with performances from JOE NICHOLS, CAYLEE HAMMACK, DYLAN SCHNEIDER, LOGAN MIZE, FILMORE and others.
