Spirit Music Group Appoints Derek Wells Sr. Dir./A&R Production

Publishing company SPIRIT MUSIC GROUP (SMG) has appointed producer-musician DEREK WELLS as Sr. Dir./A&R Production at its NASHVILLE division. He will report to SMG NASHVILLE CEO FRANK ROGERS. SMG has also launched a joint venture with WELLS for his 2 MIX MUSIC company, which has produced projects for Country artists MADDIE & TAE, GRANGER SMITH and SCOTTY MCREERY. WELLS was also the youngest musician to receive the Guitar Player Of the Year award from the ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC.
